Every fall provides us with the opportunity to reflect on the work God has been doing in our various ministries, and then prayerfully to envision what He may do among us in the year ahead. And this practice of reflection and envisioning helps guide our plans for the use of church resources, including our finances.
On Sunday October 1, we will have a working lunch right after the worship service (12:00-1:30 pm) for ministry teams to plan for the coming year and to consider what resources will be needed for that ministry. Whether teams work during that time or at other times, We hope to be better able as a church to live boldly in the ministry that God intends for us. And budget requests from these teams are to be provided to Pastor John by Monday October 16.
